Hydration sounds simple. Until you’re working inside a black carbon fibre hull in 45°C+ heat, with surface temperatures reaching 50°C.

Last week in Valencia and Mallorca, Jon and the Stayinphase team were installing equipment in conditions that were physically demanding, cramped, dusty and hot. No air conditioning. Just a small electric fan moving the hot air around.

They were soaked through with sweat.

So how do you keep going?

Jon calls them “Oasis” — small goals that break the job down into manageable stages. A coffee in the morning. Lunch. A water break. Then back to it.

Because sometimes it’s not about seeing the end of the job. It’s about getting to the next Oasis.

And then, eventually, hearing the words that make all the heat, sweat and hard work worthwhile:

“It works beautifully.”
